{ugmonk t-shirt, express cardigan, forever21 skirt, nine west booties, old navy hat}

…we were snowed in this past weekend which in my mind means freezing my butt off taking pictures. worth it, yes. it also means letting my inner child play all day in the snow with my little brother, i’m pretty sure i had more fun than him. i promise i put more clothes on before playing in it 🙂 ..today marks a new year, 2012 had its ups and downs and i am just so thankful for the new possibilities that come with 2013. i hope everyone had a wonderful holiday….

casual tees…

{h&m blazer, old navy shirt, ny&co skirt, target leggings, t.j. max boots, michael kors watch}

…i’ve been looking for a good graphic tee practically every time i go shopping. i was having a hard time finding one that wasn’t covered in peace signs or “jersey shore” quotes so i finally came to the conclusion that unless you are shopping at a high end store, most of the ones in typical stores will be so-so. i was about to give up when i remembered that i had one more option: mens tees. since guys shirts are usually more laid back, its a fun way to wear a casual outfit. (mine is from the kids section shhh!!)…

finally spring…

{old navy dress, ariat boots, the sac bag, loft sunglasses}

…spring is finally here! taking full advantage of the nice weather, my beautiful friend and i made a day trip to the red lion inn in stockbridge, ma. walking through the small town visiting small shops and eating our favorite lunch was a fun way to finish out our not-so-cold winter…

feels like spring…

{target shirt, h&m skirt, michael kors belt and shoes}

…the weather was beautiful yesterday, i was able to wear my favorite spring skirt while visiting some friends and catching up from vacation. i have to brag for a minute, i have the best set of friends a girl could ask for one of them being my lovely friend who recently had a baby. we had a beautiful afternoon taking full advantage of the weather by taking a walk through the neighborhood with her handsome baby boy…

sequin envy…

{j.crew shirt, marshalls skirt, macy’s shoes}

…i’ve been on the hunt for a sequin shirt for quite sometime now. it seemed that every time i found one they were either out of my size or sold out (or because i said “i’ll come back for it” and waited too long). for what ever the reason, i’m glad i didn’t buy any of them! while mindlessly scrolling through different sites i spotted this shirt, and knew not to make the mistake of waiting again…

thoughts on stripes…

{target shirt, h&m skirt, belt and jacket, hue tights, charlotte russe shoes}

…as i was thinking of what to write my mind happened to wander off into vesta land….like how i have class once a week and it just so happens that every class i’ve been to i’ve worn some sort of stripes. i love stripes (i may have a slight obsession with them) but my over-thinking tendencies are usually spent on silly things that only i would ever really notice…

stripes + orange = love

a casual hello….

{express sweater, express tank top, ny&co skirt, aldo shoes}

… my sister and i love shopping together but even when we don’t we still always end up buying the same clothing. it’s an off day when we don’t meet up somewhere wearing the same thing. chunky knits have been our go-to item this year.  it’s an effortless look (and arguably the most comfortable piece of clothing you’ll ever wear) creating a chic style for the transitioning months into spring. i like to wear mine with a pop of color from shoes or flat casual boots…
